Meet LiquiDonate: Rethinking Retail Waste

By Jordan Brenner
VP of Sales & Partnerships at The Lead

What is the problem you are solving, and who are you solving it for?

Retailers often waste money and create unnecessary landfill waste by disposing of unsellable inventory. At LiquiDonate, we help them solve this issue by offering a cost-effective, sustainable alternative: donating those items to local nonprofits. Retailers get a tax benefit, reduce waste, and save on reverse logistics by using our software to reroute returns within 30 miles instead of shipping them back to a central warehouse.

This saves our retail partners an average of 60% on shipping label costs, in addition to eliminating the operational burden of handling unsellable returns. We also support inventory stuck at warehouses or distribution centerslike misprints, damaged goods, or styles no longer being sold, by giving those products a second life in communities that need them.

What is new, innovative and different about your solution?

We are the only software that seamlessly integrates with existing RMS and WMS systems to match unsellable items to organizations in need of those specific goods. Our network of thousands of nonprofits can “shop” for what they need directly, assuring that those items will be benefiting individuals and not tossed in a landfill.

Who would be an ideal candidate to work with you?

Retailers with excess inventory that can’t be resold. Our bulk-item and international customers enjoy huge cost savings by rerouting returns to non-profits instead of a warehouse or landfill.

What is one impactful statistic you can share that you’re proud of?

We have donated over 11 million items to date.

How much money have you raised?

We closed a seed round in 2024 and have raised a total of $7.2M to date.
