Anthropologie’s weddings business

  • Skechers signed a multiyear WNBA partnership. Athletes Jackie Young, Rickea Jackson, and Kiki Iriafen will debut the brand’s performance footwear in the 30th season, supporting Skechers’ women’s basketball focus and the global growth of its “Comfort That Performs” line. (WWD)

  • Amazon is launching Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS), a logistics business modeled after AWS that handles freight, distribution, and fulfillment for all company sizes. Providing global infrastructure at scale, the service has already attracted major brands like American Eagle Outfitters, Lands’ End, and Procter & Gamble to optimize logistics and speed up delivery.   • Anthropologie’s wedding business, launched in 2011, has grown quickly as brides seek multiple event outfits. Serving as a key customer acquisition tool to build lifelong loyalty, the brand has expanded its exclusive gown assortment and opened 30 dedicated shop-in-shops. (ModernRetail

  • Etsy aims to lead in AI by integrating conversational tools into shopping. They are currently beta testing an Etsy app in ChatGPT and their own gifting agent. By leveraging LLMs as “connective tissue,” the company intends to better match items to buyers, specifically optimizing for gift discovery. (Retail Brew)

  • TikTok Shop is aggressively capturing market share by courting major brands with financial incentives and creator affiliate networks. This strategy is working: the platform now holds 20% of social commerce sales, with big-brand revenue jumping 97% year-over-year. (ModernRetail)

  • Niche sports are becoming a major commercial frontier for fashion and beauty. Luxury brands like Balenciaga are tapping athletes like Kim Ye-Ji as ambassadors to capitalize on a sports economy projected to reach $3.7 trillion by 2030. (Vogue)
