  • Fast-fashion online retailer Shein is leasing a huge warehouse in Vietnam, in a move that could reduce its exposure to unpredictable US-China trade tensions. (Business of Fashion

  • Shoe brand Keen is stepping up its commitment to manufacturing in the U.S. amid the ongoing trade war. The brand will be opening a new larger factory in Kentucky in June that will replace its current factory in Portland allowing it to meet heightened demand for local manufacturing and avoid the burden of some additional tariffs. • Blueland, the eco-friendly cleaning product company, is selling nine products in more than 1,800 Target locations. The plastic-free items available at Target include dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent and toilet bowl cleaning tablets and a hand soap starter set. • US retailers including Walmart and several clothing brands are racing to secure China-made merchandise for the busy summer shopping season starting in late May after Washington and Beijing agreed to temporarily slash tariffs. US retailers and apparel companies typically begin shipping merchandise from China at least two to three months before the summer season starts on Memorial Day. But after Trump hit Beijing with retaliatory tariffs totaling 145 percent several US companies paused their orders and container bookings from China to the US fell nearly 50 percent. This trend went into reverse on Monday, but restarting supply chains after the April pause could take some time. (Business of Fashion
